He claims 9/11 was nothing more than another in a long list of US conspiracies and an inside job. The long and the short of it…it was George Bush’s fault. If this half-wit loon keeps this nonsensical talk up, he could end up being an ideal candidate for an Obama cabinet appointment or perhaps a Czar position to head up the Ministry of Moonbats.
But…but…Senator Willy. Comrade Obama said our premiums were going to go down once he fundamentally transformed America into the USSA. He promised us that the life of a proletariat would be nothing but sunshine and lollipops under his rule.
Not exactly a shocker, but Dick Durbin gives the nuanced explanation that they’re looking to slow down the rate of increases, not stop increases altogether. Unfortunately, that misrepresents what the CBO has already said about premiums under ObamaCare — and ignores what has already happened to premiums without it:
The truth is that premiums have gone up in part because of government intervention, not despite of it. Further government intervention will make the problem worse — and the CBO agreed in November. While some would see a price decrease, it would only be those who don’t currently have insurance:
“Individual insurance premiums would increase by an average of 10 percent or more, according to an analysis of the Senate healthcare bill.
The long-awaited report by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) and the Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) also concluded that subsidies provided by the legislation would make coverage cheaper for those who qualify. …
Though Republicans will seize on the projections that insurance premiums for individuals would increase, Democrats will highlight the conclusion that the legislation would lower premiums by 56 to 59 percent for those individuals who would receive subsidies to buy insurance on the exchange created by the legislation. Of those who participate in the exchange, 57 percent would be eligible for subsidies. The subsidy would cover about two-thirds of their premiums, the report says.
This exchange, open to individuals and small-business employees, would provide coverage to just 17 percent of the marketplace, the report notes.”
DAN RATHER: Part of the undertow in the coming election is going to be President Obama’s leadership. And the Republicans will make a case and a lot of independents will buy this argument. “Listen he just hasn’t been, look at the health care bill. It was his number one priority. It took him forever to get it through and he had to compromise it to death.” And a version of, “Listen he’s a nice person, he’s very articulate” this is what’s been used against him, “but he couldn’t sell watermelons if it, you gave him the state troopers to flag down the traffic.”
In the video, Newt compares the unwillingness of today’s kakistocracy to acknowledge simple truths with the Soviet Union.
In the current horrifying Era of Obama, Mr. Gingrich is considered an Enemy of the State for holding on to old ideas and patterns of thought not consistent with current government policy. Oldspeak (maintaining a belief that is no longer acceptable, but was normal just a few years prior) could very well get Newt thrown into Room 101.
