HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) – U.S. Rep. John Murtha, an influential critic of the Iraq War whose congressional career was shadowed by questions about his ethics, died Monday. He was 77.
The Pennsylvania Democrat had been suffering complications from gallbladder surgery. He died at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Va., spokesman Matthew Mazonkey said.

However, the monster storm didn’t stop Comrade Obama in his never ending passion for self-aggrandizement and feeding his insatiable need to be heard. What’s even more amazing, there are actually people out there who believe this screwball.
Commander-in-Chief Comrade Obama can’t even pronounce “corpsman” correctly. He thinks they’re “corpse-man.” What a maroon this elitist Harvard grad is. Obama is playing Commander-in-Chief every bit as badly as he plays President of the United States. The guy is an embarrassment to anyone who has ever worn the uniform.
Hard to believe a Harvard intellectual and scholar can’t pronounce corpsman correctly. This “Affirmative Action President – who rode into office despite his radical background and lack of qualifications on a wave of political correctness” – is a shining example of what government created politically correct mandates have done to dumb down education in our country. Affirmative action is nothing more than a means of apportioning rewards, not on merit, but on other criteria such as gender, sexual preference, religion, or race. It’s kind of like spreading the wealth around to those not willing to work for it.
