Taxes, Taxes, and more Taxes
Category: Current Events, Democrats, Government Madness, Islamic Fascism, Liberalism, Politics, WarThe tax loving, redistribution of wealth Democrats are at it again. These people just never stop with their tax schemes and it appears they could care less about the American taxpayer. Now they are proposing an income tax surcharge to pay for the cost of the war on terror. Their argument is that it is unfair to pass off the cost of the War on Terror to future generations of Americans. The estimated cost would be approximately $150 billion annually.
The Democrats are correct when they say the War on Terror is for future generations…just as much, if not more than it is for this generation. If we as Americans don’t deal with Islamic fascism now, our future generations will be on their own to either deal with the problem, or surrender to the Islamo-fascist. Apparently the Democrats are unable to think in those terms. They only think in terms of tax increases … mainly on people who don’t vote for Democrats.
Reps. David Obey, D-Wis., John Murtha, D-Pa. (The Pride of Pennsylvania), and Jim McGovern, D-Mass., cooked up this sham of a tax proposition which of course taxes the wealthier Americans. This re-distribution of income would be accomplished with an additional 12 to 15 percent tax on higher incomes which actually translates to taxing the people who don’t vote Democrat?
Rep. David Obey is the chairman of the House appropriations committee. He says that President Bush’s request for war funding will not be approved unless it is linked with a plan to bring the troops home by January 2009. Obey also plans to hold out on considering the war funding request until 2008 … at which point it is estimated that funds for military operations will have run out. Isn’t he a great American?
I recently read where only 25% of Americans believe that we should fund the war on terror. Basically, the other 75% would prefer to leave our brave troops high and dry with no funding whatsoever. They apparently haven’t taken into consideration the impact of this foolish thinking.
