A Complete Failure of Leadership
Category: Current Events, Democrats, Dennis Kucinich, Energy, PoliticsWith a barrel of oil reaching a record high of $100.00 which equates to over $3.00 a gallon for gas at the pump, congress has failed to produce a viable energy bill. This congress has demonstrated a failure to lead under the leadership of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. The only thing these incompetents in this impotent Congress have accomplished is to impose additional taxes and environmental sanctions on the “evil” oil companies who provide us with our oil. If this isn’t bad enough, they also refuse to allow these very same oil companies from tapping our own oil fields and to build new refineries. None of this makes sense to me and I find it very troubling.
The list of Congress’s failures grows each and every day. Besides no energy bill, there has been no action on health care reform. No immigration reform. No education reform. No social security reform…little or no action regarding judgeship appointments….Nothing…Nada. All this congress has been able to accomplish is short-term partisan advantage and positioning over the minority party and to appease the party’s far left fringe whackos such as the MoveOn Democrats. However, we cannot overlook Spaceman extraordinaire, Rep. Dennis Kucinich’s valiant attempt at wasting everyone’s valuable time with presenting a motion to impeach V.P. Dick Cheney. What a moron that Kucinich is and what is his major malfunction?
When are the voters in this country going to wake up? We need to vote these usual suspect Democrats and Republicans alike out of office and replace them with individuals who have this country’s best interest at heart.

Why would we need education reform? Bush’s No Child Left Behind sailed through Congress. Neal and Barbara Bush added to their fortune because of it, everything is great in the neocon education world.
Sean,
Thanks so much for reminding us. Everything is Bush’s fault. That vast “right wing conspiracy” just gets stronger and stronger, doesn’t it.
Those flying pigs are getting to be bothersome as well.
And why did NCLB sail through congress? Oh, yes, that’s right. Because Teddy Kennedy wrote it! Why wouldn’t the Dems support it?
Honestly, as a person IN the education field (as opposed to those who are on the outside looking in), there is only one problem with NCLB. The problem is that it holds special education students to the same standards as everyone else when many of these students are simply trying to function in life. That, in all honesty, is the only problem with NCLB. Otherwise, IT’S WORKING!
