Income Tax Rebates

President Bush is proposing an economic stimulus package of approximately $145 Billion to be pumped back into the economy. Included in this stimulus package are income tax rebates. Bush and his fellow Republicans are calling for these tax rebates to go to those individuals who actually paid income taxes. This makes sense to me despite my opposition to economic quick fixes like tax rebates. The Democrats however, the champions of income redistribution, want these income tax rebates to go to those individuals who didn’t pay income tax. In addition, the Democrats also want to put income limitations on the income tax payers who will receive the rebates. Isn’t that special?

What type of logic is this? Only in the liberal hazed vision of of those like Senator Chuck Schumer, Hillary Clinton, and the rest of the Liberal Left Democrat Party, would someone envision a tax rebate to someone who didn’t pay taxes. Perhaps the Democrats will demand next that Verizon Wireless provide rebates to those who not only purchased a new cell phones, but to those who didn’t qualify to purchase new cell phones. This is truly Vladimir Lenin thinking and it is frightening.

As predicted, the Democrats are justifying these phony tax rebates to those who don’t pay income taxes by saying these people paid Social Security taxes. Wrong. Social Security taxes are payments made into a defined benefit with the intent of hopefully being returned to those who contributed. Dealing with this liberal type of thinking is like running in sand. It’s exhausting.

The intent of this unfair tax rebate give-away by the Democrats is obvious. It is nothing more than an attempt to remove all Federal Income Tax and Social Security tax responsibility from people who the Democrats count on to keep them in power. In other words, those so-called “less fortunate” who vote Democratic.

I don’t feel that just because we fall into a higher income bracket than some that we should be excluded from getting this tax rebate. I feel if they are going to give taxpayers a rebate, it should be straight across the board, the same for everyone paying taxes. Someone making $50,000 a year with 5 children is already going to get back $1,000 for each of those children on their tax return, while others are paying more in taxes and getting alot less back. The rebates should not have an income stipulation on them!

Why would people who make so much need a stinkin 1200 dollar check? Its because of their overspending and assumming they can afford everything that has put this country so far into debt. Its funny how many people in this country make over 100,000 a year and they are living pay check to pay check. I mean do people making 10,000 a month really need 600 or 1200 extra? The answer is only the morons who have no control over their spending.

For some reason, people think that upper income 150K+ do not pay taxes. What a crock of crap. I paid 47K in Federal taxes this year. I should not be penalized because I worked hard to get where I am at. I do not mind lower income people getting rebates or paying high taxes to help the less fortunate, but it is totally unfair to exclude people like myself from the rebate. It is us “rich” people who pay most of the tax, would it not seem fair to at least give us the minimum. It is the principal of the issue. This is nothing but income redistribution. I donate alot of my, but I like to pick my charity.

    Jeff,
The Democrat Party and those like Hillary Clinton don’t agree. They feel that you somehow accomplished your successes at the expense of those who choose not to achieve anything in life. They call people like yourself “fortunate” as if a tooth fairy brought you success. They call the non-achievers the “less fortunate” because in the fog of the liberal eye, they’re constantly down on their luck and you cheated them. Welcome to the world of Hillary’s income redistribution.

What say you?
