Enjoy The Trip John McCain

My friends over at Faultline USA sent me this photo titled Send John McCain to Mexico. I have to admit the photo is somewhat humorous.
There certainly is a lot of blog buzz today regarding Senator John McCain and his lack of genuine conservatism. There is no doubt about his commitment to protecting our nation from Islamic radicalism. For myself and many others like me, this is an important issue during this election. Furthermore, his experience in Washington makes Hillary’s so-called experience look like nothing more than a brief White House visit. That being said, I personally think Mr. McCain has shown total disregard to the Conservative movement for years. I honor John McCain’s military service but take no comfort in his conservative obstructionism during his years in Washington.
Thomas Sowell has some interesting things to say regarding Mr. McCain in his column today. Here is an excerpt from that article.
Give McCain credit where credit is due: He supported the “surge” in Iraq, which rescued a deteriorating situation. But so did George W. Bush, who has never touted his military service and Dick Cheney who was never in the military.
The most charitable interpretation of Senator McCain’s constant touting of his military service is that he is simply milking it for political advantage.
It would be truly dangerous if McCain really considers himself a military expert, who can therefore ignore the advice of real military experts as President of the United States.
Hopefully Mitt Romney will knock McCain off of his high horse today and put the notorious liberal co conspirator in his place. When the likes of the Baltimore Sun and The New York Times endorse John McCain, it just doesn’t pass the smell test with me. It appears McCain is the love child choice of the left leaning main street media and that telegraphs an obvious message of suspicion.
Unlike many of my conservative friends, should John McCain become the Republican nominee for President, I will hold my nose and reluctantly vote for him with the hope he defeats either Hillary or Barack Obama in the fall. Hopefully this won’t be the case.
