Primary Meltdown

This Democrat primary election is getting very interesting. It appears Super-Delegates will be determining the outcome of this close primary contest. Super Delegates are nothing more than unelected party hacks, members of Congress, and other unelected party officials who are permitted by the DNC rules to cast their votes in choosing a candidate. As it stands, neither presidential hopeful can win the party nomination with the normal delegate or popular vote. This is where the Super Delegates come in to play.

Does this seem like an undemocratic event to you? Well, it is. This super-delegate twist coming from the the party that litigated the 2000 Florida recount vote to “make every vote count” is interesting to any astute political observer. The 2000 election is when the Electoral College prevailed over the popular vote and George W. Bush was elected the President of the USA. The Democrats have called George W. Bush’s Presidency and administration illegitimate ever since. Imagine that?

In Hillary’s attempt to still be her party’s anointed choice, she is now attempting to steal Obama’s nomination in smoked filled rooms…not the voting booth. She is now claiming she has the edge over Obama in this hotly contested primary because the states she has won and is expected to win, have a larger electoral count than the states Obama has won. She’s really grasping for the lifeboat with this logic. Even if this were true, the electoral count doesn’t have an impact on Party Primaries and is only meant for Electing a President in the General Election. You know the election I mean…the election which the Democrats have crowed to “make every vote count”

This entire Democratic Primary is exposing the Party and it’s leaders for what they really are. Hypocrites. It’s going to interesting to see this all play out and the damage it will cause. The Democrat Party has created their own little electoral college so to speak which seemingly threatens to sap the Democratic nominee of it’s legitimacy if Hillary prevails.
