The GOP And The Polar Bear
Category: Conservatism, Current Events, Energy, Environment, Global WarmingConservatives running for office this year under the Republican banner have a serious problem to contend with. If they want to win or retain office this fall, they had best cut all ties from the National GOP Committee and the McCain campaign committee. They better run on conservative principals and come up with good conservative policies which promote freedom, capitalism, and this great country. It doesn’t take a genius to understand this concept just by the three supposedly safe GOP house seats lost in last weeks special elections. Any GOP candidate who doesn’t distance themselves from the RNC, McCain, and George Bush will most likely get their walking papers. They need to do what is right and not compromise their conservative principals for the sake of populism.
The GOP has recently taken an environmental lurch to the left. Now they’re boasting how they want clean air and clean water just like the liberals do. Through government mandates and control. They tell us how they want to save the polar bear, ban plastic bags, use CFL bulbs, and all the other crazy stuff. May I ask what makes these politicians think you and I don’t want clean air, water, and plenty of polar bears? I for one am all for clean air, water, and plenty of polar bears. This entire shift to the environmental left is nothing more than an attempt at taking away our liberty and freedom. It’s about stopping oil exploration and making us more sub servant to foreign oil. Nothing more or nothing less. We all love the polar bear…what’s not to like? The environmental Marxist and now the GOP just like to use the polar bear and his supposed global warming demise as a convenient prop because they think were stupid.
So now, our Federal Interior Department under a Republican President has put the polar bear on the endangered federal endangered species list. This is incredible to say the least, especially because it’s not needed. Just what are they trying to accomplish? The unknowing and innocent polar bear doesn’t pollute or hurt anybody. It’s doing fine and it’s far from becoming extinct. It eats a few penguins, tons of God given fish, and an occasional Eskimo, but other than that…it’s doing fine. This is the first time this type of action has been used and it could very well have a far reaching negative impact on our country’s future and energy health.
