The Crying Game
Category: Barack Obama, Current Events, Democrats, Hypocrisy, Jimmy Carter, Liberalism, PoliticsIt’s been interesting to watch the Democrats circle the wagons over President Bush’s recent comments to the Israelis this week. President Bush, while addressing Israel’s Knesset, compared those who want to negotiate with today’s terrorists and tyrants to an American senator in 1939 who expressed grief that Hitler’s march into Poland might have been avoided “if only I could have talked to Hitler.” To his credit, President Bush skillfully pointed out how appeasement and a kumbaya mindset has historically never worked with tyrants.
These comments obviously struck a nerve with B. H. Obama, and he along with the usual suspect Democrats and the mainstream media went absolutely bonkers. What could possibly be offensive about the president assuring our Middle Eastern ally that, under his watch at least,
It’s perfectly acceptable for the Democrats to consistently undermine our foreign policy while all the while sabotaging our official policies since President Bush took office. The Democrats want us to ignore the shameful fact regarding Jimmy Carter’s intermeddling with Hamas, Nancy Pelosi’s showboat junket to Syria, and trips to Iraq by other Democratic members of Congress for no other purpose than to interfere with U.S. policy. But have our president reassure Israel we will continue supporting them…then let the crying begin…that just ain’t fair and he is being mean spirited with his back handed comment.
Throughout all of this, I wonder why the Jewish voters in this country have time and again sided with the Democrat Party. They’ve done so while the Democrats have consistently and very openly stabbed them in the back. The most recent blatant examples being Nancy Pelosi’s and Jimmy Carter’s unthinkable Middle East visits and the legitimization of terrorist states and organizations who happen to be our common enemies. It has never made much sense to me, however it appears the winds of the Jewish votes could be changing this election cycle and just might explain why the Democrats are have their noses out of joint.
