McCain HQ Offended Over Magazine Cover

Wow! What a shocker this one is. What were the lefty magazine editors thinking when they chose this tasteless cover? The New Yorker, a notorious left leaning magazine, is sure to offend it’s readership along with the Obama campaign with this indictive cover. The cover portrays Barack and Michelle Obama in a manner the left think clear thinking people on the right view the presidential hopeful and his wife. Check out that Angela Davis hairdo on Michelle along with her AK-47 slung over her shoulder, locked and loaded I presume. And how about Barack’s Islamic garb and let’s not overlook the American flag in the fireplace in addition to OBL’s portrait proudly displayed above it. Can you believe it? I wonder what the magazine spin will be in their attempt to explain their way out of this one.
Not to worry though, Tucker Bounds, the assumed chief apologist for the McCain Campaign, tripped over himself by issuing an urgent communication calling the cover tasteless and offensive. This statement by spokesperson Bounds is as incredible as the tasteless cover itself. The next thing you know, McCain HQ will be distributing Obama bumper stickers and manning phone banks for Obama just to play nice. This entire episode must be a bad dream due to my late evening meal of spaghetti with hot sausage and red pepper flakes. I must have forgotten to take my Nexium last night before going to bed. Puleeeese…would someone kindly pinch me to wake me up from this castle in the sky dream. To steal a phrase from the popular 1983 Hall & Oates song, “Say it isn’t so” Mr. McCain.

Whoa!!! Check out Michelle Malkin’s Blog regarding this tasteless magazine cover. It’s going to be an interesting day on the cable news networks.
Where was the outrage when President Bush was characterized as the Devil himself… horns and all. It’s politics Mr. Obama… get used to it. President Bush has also been portrayed as a terrorist… where’s the outrage? It is political satire that is rooted in America’s unfamiliarity with just who Barack Obama really is. Get over it!
