The Super Blue Majority

I’m doing my best not to buy into the media bias and slanted polls regarding an Obama victory in November. Even for an old fart like myself, it’s difficult not to be manipulated by the misinformation put forth to us on a daily basis by the enemy within. That enemy being the mainstream lefty media in America.
It’s very understandable why so many misinformed people and those who think they’re informed but aren’t, march in lock step with the charismatic Obama. Be that as it may, Obama being the socialist that he is…is pale in comparison to what will be in store for America should a Super Blue Majority take control of Congress. A veto-proof, filibuster proof, liberal congress lead by the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid will do more harm to this country than a hundred invading armies. At least we can shoot and kill invading armies and repair the damage they would bring forth…but we will be stuck for generations with the devastation a Super Blue Majority will inflict upon America as we helplessly stand by and watch it happen before our very own eyes.
The Wall Street Journal had an excellent yet gruesome Op-ed in Friday’s edition which everybody needs to read. If you value your freedom, there is still time to vote in a responsible and mature manner. Be careful what you wish for as the old saying goes, you just might get it. Here’s and excerpt from that gloomy yet accurate essay:
Sphere: Related ContentIf the current polls hold, Barack Obama will win the White House on November 4 and Democrats will consolidate their Congressional majorities, probably with a filibuster-proof Senate or very close to it. Without the ability to filibuster, the Senate would become like the House, able to pass whatever the majority wants.
Though we doubt most Americans realize it, this would be one of the most profound political and ideological shifts in U.S. history. Liberals would dominate the entire government in a way they haven’t since 1965, or 1933. In other words, the election would mark the restoration of the activist government that fell out of public favor in the 1970s. If the U.S. really is entering a period of unchecked left-wing ascendancy, Americans at least ought to understand what they will be getting, especially with the media cheering it all on.
I still say ” do NOT believe the polls”. I have been in marketing all my life and before you look at the results of any poll you should know the question that was asked, how it was asked, and to whom it was asked. The recent NYT/CBS poll was a sham. It should be obvious to every American that the media is in the bag for Barack. They aren’t going to question the polls. It’s so interesting to me that they want to vet Joe the Plumber but wont scrutinize the polling. Just go out and vote!
I don’t think the polls have taken in to account how many write-in votes Hillary will get. There are a lot of angry Clinton supporters that don’t want to see a REPO (Reid-Pelosi-Obama) team.
I certainly hope you guys are right with your assessments. A heartfelt thank-you to the both of you for easing my mind.
