Our Next Secretary Of State?

It’s being reported that President-Elect Barack Obama has asked Hillary Clinton to be his Secretary of State. I have mixed feelings on such an important appointment but she sure would be a better pick than John Francois Kerry. A Secretary of State Hillary would be more of a strategic move because it would keep her out of Barack Obama’s hair in 2012 should he fumble the ball during his first term. Not to mention it would get her out of the Senate which would be a good thing.

Here’s a photo of Hillary taken at the Glamour Awards last week. I must say, this is the first time I’ve ever seen Hillary in anything but a pantsuit. Whoever took this photo sure didn’t have Hillary’s best interests at heart when they took this money shot. I must admit, I prefer Hillary in pantsuits because they are far more fetching for a person of her anomalous stature. Hillary should consider firing her gown designer when she finally stops quaking with uncontrollable rage and humiliation caused by this gown photo.

Needless to say, some of the more unforgiving bloggers out there had much to say regarding this very unflattering evening gown portrait.

I even read a comment somewhere that “the 101st Airborne called and they want their parachute back.” Who ever said there was no truth in mirth?
