You Know, Hillman, this is going to hit the rice and bean eating vegans hardest.

Ron, it is not likely to be profitable to harness methane from cows. It takes a lot of cow farts to cook a hamburger.

I have a better idea Ron. Let Mother Nature do what she's been doing ever since the Garden of Eden and let the darn cow fart tax free. Whoever dreamed up this idiotic fairy tale that farts cause global warming are out of their ever loving minds. This entire global warming thing has gotten completely out of control.

Why don't they find a way to harness the methane to use as an alternative gas fuel instead of charging the farmer? Then the farmer can actually profit from the cow throughout it's entire life (milk production, methane production and finally meat production). Besides, just because you pay money (ala Carbon Credits) doesn't make the problem go away if cow methane is causing environmental issues. Look at how many companies get fined for environmental problems and just pay the money because it's cheaper than fixing the problem?
