What About Helping Small Businesses

Being a former small business owner, it chaps my behind seeing those clowns in Congress, along with President Bush and PEBHO, bailing out “Big Union Businesses” in America. These businesses deserve to go out of business due to their own bad business decisions and for being held hostage by the unions. I say, let ‘em fold and who needs them.

No one ever offered me a handout when I struggled meeting the payroll, paying the weekly federal deposits on employee wages earned, meeting my union employee’s weekly payroll, paying my vendors at month’s end, and most disgustingly of all, paying the astronomical union assessments and benefits for the privileged of hiring union labor. Never mind my cost of labor was approximately $20 per hour more than my non-union competitors. What these clowns in Washington are doing is beyond the pale. It’s the small business owners who make this country run and put the most people to work. Not those Big Three dying on a vine dinosaur auto-makers who are nothing more than a health care and retirement plan for their union employees. Once again, our government can’t do anything right and how many times do they have to prove it to us before we say enough?

Neal Boortz, one of my favorite radio personalities, must feel the same way as I do and he makes a very good point on his web site today. Clicky, clicky here to read what Neal has to say.
