William McGurn has an unsurprisingly edifying article in today’s Wall Street Journal titled School Choice For The Few. His opinion piece begins like this:

Some hypocrisies are apparently more equal than others. If, for example, you are a politician who preaches “traditional values” and you get caught in a hotel with a woman who is not your wife, the press is going to have a field day with your tartuffery.

If, however, you are a pol who piously tells inner-city families that public schools are the answer — and you do this while safely ensconcing your own kids in some private haven — the press corps mostly winks.

In case there is anyone left on the planet who doesn’t understand that Democrat “education reform” is all about unions and has nothing to do with the children, needs to watch this video.

Liberals love crowing about education reform and how much they care about “the children.” The truth of the matter is this. The Apparatchik could care less about the children other than keeping them dumbed down and subjected to a lifetime of poverty. Thus leaving the mere peasants and their children to the mercy of inept and frankly evil bureaucrats who’s only purpose is to protect the Teacher’s Unions and keeping Liberalism alive.
