Political pay-offs are bad enough. But such clear favoritism to one group is only going to backfire on the Obama administration.
This morning’s release of the deficit figures shows that the Leader has no plan to cut spending and is content to borrow money he needs to fund expanded government. This will drive up inflation and interest rates in the very near term. In turn, this will kill any jobs recovery. The voters won’t have much patience with union workers if they are shown such favoritism.
